Because we want to keep our wonderful supporters safe during the COVID-19 era, we cancelled our annual indoor luncheon and fashion show. Instead we are reaching out to you to consider a donation to the Orinda Woman's Club or a purchase at our online Marketplace and Silent Auction, in support of our beneficiaries.

How many people does it take to make a successful online fundraising event? Here is our list!
Kicking off our event and introducing our beneficiaries:
The START program supports current and former foster youth attending Diablo Valley College. It recognizes the powerful connection of having basic needs met and being a successful student. It is the Mission of START to empower foster youth to gain the skills to succeed academically and to achieve their educational and career goals.
Homeless not hopeless! Trinity Center provides a hand up to those who need food for the body and the mind. Trinity has a mission to be the doorway to opportunity for homeless and working poor people. They give care and hope to each one through supported access to services and resources.
Orinda Woman’s Club, (OWC) through our Community Service Committee, donates to agencies in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties who are seeking help with specific services and projects. We also provide individual educational grants to students who have demonstrated their commitment to acquire further knowledge and training.
Childhood Mental Health Services for preschoolers, in Richmond, California, provides counseling to parents, and models coping strategies for child rearing. This agency is counseling by Zoom and is delivering care packages of food and art work. Here is a photograph of some of the older kids - with backpacks provided by OWC - ready for Kindergarten, full of material, just like kids from regular homes. These children and parents were delighted and uplifted with this sense of normalcy.
